BOXING DAY
In the United Kingdom it is the day after Christmas Day and falls on December 26.Traditionally it was a costum for trdes people to collect "Christmas boxes" of money or presents, food or clothes on the first weekday after Christmas as thanks for good services throughout the year. Today is a public holiday.
It has been dated to the Middle Ages.
For many merchants it is much like Black Friday in the United States, It is a time when shops have sales, often with dramatic reductions,,,
